Dr.Afraasheem escaped unhurt with police protection when a group of men assaulted him outside the mosque where he led the Friday prayer.Is Afraasheem being attacked by the radical conservatives because of his liberal views? Where has the tolerance and respect of peace-loving Muslims gone?
This also proves that our Government and Mathee Majlis are not only inapt but they have demagogued our religion as well.

Oh yes! The days of idyllic peace in Maldives are numbered. It has been so for the past few years - with the arrival of radical Islam on our shores.
Most Maldivians live either in a state of denial or complete ignorance of the threat posed by radicalism.
